Support for California Senate Bills 341 and 1264

California’s anti-SLAPP statute was enacted in 1992 by passage of Senate Bill 1264 (codified at California Code of Civil Procedure section 425.16). A predecessor of SB 1264, Senate Bill 341, was vetoed by Governor Pete Wilson.
