CASP is only able to work on SLAPPs filed in California courts, but the national resources highlighted in blue on this page are a good place to start your search for representation in your home state.
The following organizations may provide additional information or assistance in defending a SLAPP. Many of these organizations also (in some cases primarily) work on related First Amendment issues (more information is available in the links to the right of this page).

Bar Associations
Local bar associations often have an attorney referral service and may be able to tell you which firms handle free and/or low cost legal services. The State Bar of California has a helpful article on finding an attorney called "How Can I Find and Hire the Right Lawyer?" You can search for contact information for specific California attorneys here.
Friends and Family
Friends and family are always a good place to seek help. If you are in need of legal help, don't be afraid to ask everyone you know for referral to a lawyer.
The information on this website is not, nor is it intended to be, legal advice. You should consult an attorney for individual advice regarding your specific situation.
