Legislative History: An anti-SLAPP bill, H.B. 741, was introduced Jan. 24, 2001. Amendments in both the House and Senate created disagreement over the bill, but differences were settled in a joint committee. The bill was passed by the two chambers on April 30, 2002 and signed by the governor on June 25.
