An anti-SLAPP statute was introduced in the Kansas legislature in 1997 by Sen. Stan Clark (Rep., Dist. 40). The bill was pulled by Sen. Clark in March 1998 because amendments proposed by the state bar association would have eviscerated the effect of the bill.
